The Story Behind the Charger

This site follows my 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 440 — the restoration work, repairs, upgrades, car shows, road time, and everything that comes with owning one of the most iconic American muscle cars ever built.

What started as a personal project became a long-term record of the car itself: what it takes to keep it running, what gets changed, what gets preserved, and why these cars still matter more than 50 years later.

“Built to Charge” came directly out of that experience. The design, the attitude, and the shirt all trace back to the car you see here.

Built to Charge — Inspired by the Real Car

The Built to Charge shirt was created from the same 1969 Charger R/T 440 that this site is built around. The design pulls directly from the car, the era, and the attitude that made the second-generation Charger one of the most recognizable muscle cars ever made.

It features a small front chest design and a large distressed Charger graphic across the back, printed on a black heavyweight unisex tee.
