I received the dash plastic bezels back from CV Vacuum Platers. Wow, these things look brand new. If you recall on I had a local paint shop repaint the bezels and tho they looked nice I wasn’t completely happy with them, so I sent them to be completely re-chromed. BEFORE AFTER
Visited my girl at the shop today, looking like 3 more weeks, and then it’s time to put everything back together. So far, they have put 185 hours into the car. Check out the pics below. You can see where they have painted the door jambs, the engine bay, and so forth.
The car has been painted! 5 coats base, 5 coats clear. Hasn’t been color sanded yet tho, but it’s looking sweet! Love this silver, has a greenish tinge to it. I also received the grille back from GCAR. These pics I took these tonight in my kitchen, so the lighting isn’t the best. BEFORE – …
Some new pics, car has been color sanded, the undercarriage has been undercoated, the interior has been sprayed with Zolotone, and the stripe has been put on. Next is the tail panel and radiator support has to be painted black, the hood, and trunk hinges have to be painted body color, and the R/T badge …
Car is done at the body shop. It’s now at the shop where the rebuilt engine and tranney will be put in, plus where the suspension and rear end are going to be rebuilt. Pic’s below of the work the body shop did.
The rear end has been rebuilt, the suspension has been taken apart, and I got the pieces back from powder coating a couple of weeks back All the pieces have been put back on the car and the engine/tranny should be going in after the holidays. Got two replacement rotors for the disk brakes up …
