Spent 7 hours yesterday putting in the windshield wiper pivots…twice. Like a dummy, I forgot to put the gaskets and water sealing plug onto the pivots, so off they came, and then had to put them on once more. Working under the dash is a bitch. We then put the defroster vents onto the dash and hooked them up to the heater box. Last but not least, we put the steering column in and the wheel. The steering column needs to be moved another half inch in, but we’re waiting till we find out how the firewall bracket that the column goes through is attached to the firewall. It has some large holes in the bracket, so I’m not sure if there is some kind of special hardware I need to attach it.
Also, you will notice the horn ring for the wheel is not correct for the 69 charger. I screwed up and thought it was a correct wheel and got it restored. Cost a ton of money so this will be staying, at least till I can the cash to find a correct one.
I ordered the glass last week. Pilkington had the whole set minus the passenger side front and rear so I will use my old ones for those two until they have them in. Will be sending it to get the glass installed in the next few weeks hopefully.
